About me

Photography is a great means of capturing all life's special events from baby pictures, through weddings, anniversaries, family events and retirements. It has been a passion of mine since my teens, but I chose accountancy as my first career. After twelve years I decided that wasn't for me and spent five years being a house dad and doing photography jobs as and when the children allowed. Since 2007 I have been able to devote all my time and energy to photography.

I like the challenge that comes with getting great photos of a diverse range of subjects. To produce great wedding shots for a couple you need to be able to connect with people and to spot the spontaneous moments which occur during the day. Family and child photos require more posing, but I always look to generate a spark that will set these pictures apart from the run-of-the-mill. When shooting commercially the focus has to be on the end product, so understanding the client's requirements and the look and feel they want from the photos is key.

My goal is to strike up long-term relationships with all my clients, to be the first choice photographer for all life's events or all their business needs.

Away from photography I'm married with two daughters and live in the beautiful city of Bath. My other passions in life include sport and gardening.
